Costs
The costs for a WooCommerce site differ from the commercial e-commerce platforms like Volusion, BigCommerce and Shopify. These charge a monthly subscription for the use of their platform. Some will charge for installing a SSL certificate, some will take a percentage of the credit card sales and some will have a cap on the number of products you can add unless you upgrade to a more expensive package.
Once the e-commerce site has been set up by the provider you will have access to your site to add products, set up shipping, payment gateway ect. You will probably hire a specialist to help you set up the store with the associated costs.
WordPress and WooCommerce are free open source programs and are free to download.
You still need to host your website and we recommend https://krystal.uk/pci-compliant-hosting as they offer PCI compliant hosting, SSL certificate and daily site backups starting at £29.99 a month so there is recurring monthly charge, but less than the monthly charges of the commercial e-commerce platforms.
The other cost is to set up the site to your requirements. This includes installing WordPress and WooCommerce and configuring the site your requirements. This will give a fully functioning site ready to add products and content so you can start selling.
Costs will vary depending on the type of e-commerce site you require, and the amount of customisation required, and plugins needed. After we have discussed your requirements, we will prepare a detailed and fully costed fixed price proposal for your consideration. We include online training and instruction manuals on how to manage the site
The other recurring cost may be updating the site with new products ect and we offer monthly maintenance plans.
